Problems with Gun Control in the United States.

A major issue with gun control in the United States is that most of the mass shootings that occur are from legally purchased firearms. Although the firearms are being purchased legally if their were greater restrictions then a decrease in the amount of mass shootings will be seen. According to the article from Vittana.org almost 75% of the 70 shootings that were looked at occurred from legally purchased firearms. Strict checks for previous history’s or behaviors shall be done before allowing someone to purchase a firearm. In certain mass shootings the shooter either was troubled growing up or there had been some sort of history in the past which can be included with that persons family. If checks were performed to completely check the background of an individual as such then the occurrence of mass shootings would decrease.
